ANNE'S WAFFLES

This recipe was given to Tim and Barbara as a bridal or wedding gift (we honestly do not remember which) from our Aunt Anne. Along with the recipe we received a waffle iron. These two gifts have combined through the years to produce many wonderful waffles.  We hope that you enjoy them as much as we have. Here is the recipe:

2 eggs
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
4 tbsp. melted oleo
3tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
Here is the note that accompanied the recipe:

Many years ago, my mother-in-law gave this recipe to me along with a waffle maker.  Uncle John and I have enjoyed waffles ever since.  One of the things I like about this recipe is that you can mix the batter up the night before and eliminate a mess in the kitchen the next morning.       Aunt Anne

I don't know if Aunt Anne remembers giving this to us, but it is a great recipe!!!
